Daily Masnoon Duas — Authentic Supplications & Virtues

Essential daily Islamic supplications (Duas) with Arabic text, transliteration, authentic Urdu & English translations, and references.

The Sacred Weapon of the Believer: Du'a

Prophet Muhammad ﷺ declared: "Supplication (Du'a) is the essence of worship" (Jami at-Tirmidhi 3371). Du'a connects the helpless servant directly with the All-Powerful, All-Hearing Creator.

Essential Daily Masnoon Duas from Hisn al-Muslim

  • Waking Up: "Alhamdulillahil-ladhi ahyana ba'da ma amatana wa ilayhin-nushoor" (All praise belongs to Allah who gave us life after giving us death, and unto Him is the resurrection) [Sahih al-Bukhari 6324].
  • Entering the Home: "Bismillahi walajna, wa bismillahi kharajna, wa 'ala Rabbina tawakkalna" [Sunan Abi Dawud 5096].
  • Leaving the Home: "Bismillahi tawakkaltu 'alallah, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah" [Sunan Abi Dawud 5095].
  • Entering the Mosque: "Allahummaftah li abwaba rahmatik" (O Allah, open for me the gates of Your mercy) [Sahih Muslim 713].
  • In Times of Anxiety & Distress: "La ilaha illa anta subhanaka inni kuntu minaz-zalimeen" (There is no deity except You; exalted are You. Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers) [Surah Al-Anbiya 21:87; Jami at-Tirmidhi 3505].

Etiquette for Accepted Supplication

Begin by praising Allah, send Salawat on the Prophet ﷺ, raise both hands with humility, face the Qiblah, be firm in asking without doubt, and avoid impatience.
